Fusion Middleware is a comprehensive and unified middleware platform that includes products such as WebCenter, Business Intelligence, Content Management, and WebLogic Server. It powers many solutions such as Java, identity management, service oriented architecture, and data integration. These hotpluggable services and solutions share a common Grid infrastructure, enabling them to be deployed independently, integrated, or distributed in a cluster of servers for industry-leading performance, scalability, and reliability.
WebCenter connects applications, information and people by weaving together the most complete and open portfolio of portal, Web experience management, social and collaboration technologies, structured and unstructured content into a single, integrated suite. Channeling the right information in the context of the business process in which users are engaged, WebCenter creates intuitive portals, composite applications, and mash-ups that seamlessly interoperate with business applications.
WebCenter Content unifies document, digital asset, Web content, and records management. A single-architecture approach allows all content-documents, Web pages, imagery, email and records to be accessed via common interfaces and desktop tools, improving ease of use, sharing, searching, and compliance.
Data Integrator: Data Services are feature-rich, virtual views built across federated and heterogeneous data sources such as semi-structured sources, relational databases, and Web services. They simplify and mediate bidirectional data access and updates for business processes, portals, and applications.
WebLogic Server is the cornerstone application server and Java runtime platform implementing the Java EE specification and Web Services standards. It provides industry-leading performance and scalability through state-of-the-art clustering, built-in software load balancing, server self-monitoring, overload protection, and GridLink for Oracle RAC.

Adaptive Access Manager

Adaptive Access Manager is a powerful weapon against online fraud and identity theft. It offers the highest levels of assurance of users' identity and their usage intent.

  • Adaptive Risk Manager provides real-time risk scoring, alerts, and actions to identify and block fraudulent activity at transaction checkpoints. It runs rules at specified pre-, post -, and in-session authentication runtimes to control access to sensitive resources.
  • Adaptive Strong Authenticator verifies multiple factors to screen new account requests and confirm existing identities. Factors range from the device used to login, to a user's location and profile. It adds security to any authentication scheme with features such as knowledge-based and virtual authentication devices.

Enterprise Single Sign-On Suite

ESSO enables users to simply logon once via smart cards, biometrics, or token solutions to access all Web-based, desktop, and legacy applications. It includes password management, audit trails that show application usage by user, automated provisioning and removal of credentials, and easy and secure sign-on/off of shared workstations.

Entitlements Server

Entitlements Server is a fine-grained authorization engine that centralizes management of complex entitlement policies across various systems and applications. It secures access to application components (such as URLs, EJBs, and JSPs), business logic, entire user interfaces or individual fields on an interface, databases or individual data records. Via a flexible architecture, Entitlements Server manages and distributes complex entitlements policies to policy decision/enforcement points and security modules and can evaluate attributes to make more granular access control decisions at runtime. In addition to integrating with Oracle Identity and Access Management, Entitlements Server supports XACML and SAML standards.

Access Manager

Access Manager centrally administers user profiles and privileges. It enables single sign-on to Web applications and enforces coarse-grained authorization policies . It controls the process for creating and removing users and groups and provides delegated and self-administration. Further, Access Manager audits and reports who has/had access and what has been accessed.

Identity Federation

Identity Federation is a cross-domain single sign-on solution that enables partner organizations to securely link their enterprises’ applications and portals. Federation allows each organization to operate independently while cooperating for business purposes and increasing compliance with security and privacy regulations.

OpenSSO Fedlet

OpenSSO is a lightweight service provider implementation of SAML 2.0 single sign-on protocols. It helps customers to quickly achieve SSO with their partners by providing an easy to use, end-to-end federation solution that can be deployed without requiring extensive knowledge of federation protocols. With OpenSSO, Service Providers can consume identity assertion and receive user attributes from Oracle Identity Federation

Platform Security Services (OPSS)

OPSS provides Java developers with an enterprise-grade security framework. In addition to a comprehensive security developer toolkit, OPSS provides standardsbased APIs that insulate developers from security and identity management implementation details such as cryptography, certificate lookup and validation, interfaces with JAAS policy providers, user repositories and other identity management infrastructure components. While OPSS is portable to third-party application servers, it is the underlying security platform that provides security to Oracle Fusion Middleware

Secure Token Service

Secure Token Service manages issuance, renewal, translation and validation of security tokens via WS-Trust. As the trusted authority, it manages security token policies across Web services providers and consumers.

Access Portal

Access Portal provides single sign-on from PC and Mobile Devices to web-based applications including SaaS applications, Web, federated partners, and Oracle Access Management protected resources. A variety of authentication methods are employed to streamline the user experience, including Identity Federation, Form-Fill and Oracle Access Management session identifiers.

Mobile Security Suite

OMSS helps organizations separate and manage corporate apps and data on personally owned mobile devices and extend enterprise identity services to these devices without needing to lockdown the entire device via device level PIN and VPN. Mobile security containers create secure workspaces that meet enterprise security requirements without compromising user experience. OMSS integrates with the Windows authentication infrastructure for single sign-on to corporate applications. It also includes secure, enterprise-ready, productivity apps—web browser, document viewer/editor, and file browser —that ensure corporate data is always protected via comprehensive security policies, encryption, and DLP controls. As an add on, Oracle Secure Mobile Mail Manager provides Email, Calendar, Contacts, Tasks, and Notes.
